Dell has released an expansive 30 inch widescreen LCD, with a claimed 2560 x 1600 resolution.

Dell has released an expansive 30 inch widescreen LCD, with a claimed  2560 x 1600
(WQXGA) maximum resolution — when used with a dual-link DVI graphics card. It provides 77 percent more content area than Dell's previously real estate-topping 24 inch display. 

The product is on sale now for $2 898. Dell claims this is around $1000 cheaper than the model's main competitor.
