The new monitors offer 1920 x 1200 native resolution and a 16:10 aspect ration. They are certified for Windows Vista Premium and feature HDCP, which is supported through the DVI-D connector that allows for use with HDCP-equipped devices and encrypted content. Both models also feature X-light Pro, for consistent light output levels.

NEC says colour reproduction on the monitors is "unparalleled" with a  92 percent gamut versus NTSC, with 93.4 percent coverage of the Adobe colour space and 87.8 percent coverage of the NTSC colour space for the 26-inch model.

The monitors also feature technologies such as12-bit internal LUT for tone adjustment, AmbiBright which automatically adjusts the display's backlight based on the ambient environment lighting, triple-input technology to allow VGA, DVI-D & DVI-I to be connected and switched between on a single display. 

Both models come standard with a 3 year limited warranty parts and labour, including backlight, NEC says.
