  A Ferrari You Can Afford

By Manisha Kanetkar | Monday | 08/05/2006

The next product to come out of the Acer-Ferrari partnership will have fans of racing-car-red thrilled. Acer and Ferrari have today released the Ferrari-styled 20 inch F-20 LCD Monitor.

Acer's Caroline Villien calls this "The best looking monitor ever." While everyone may not agree with this assessment, it is clear that Acer has placed a high emphasis on aesthetics with this monitor. The body of the display is a glossy black while the back of the monitor and stand are a racing-car-red. The front bears Ferrari's logo.

Under the bonnet, the F-20 has a response rate of 8 ms. It claims to support resolutions of up to 1680 x 1050 pixels, 300 cd/m2 brightness and a contrast ratio of 800:1. The monitor also features Acer's CrystalBrite technology, which it claims gives users a 25 percent brighter screen than standard LCD screens by delivering more intense colour saturation.

"To partner with a brand such as Ferrari really is a testament to Acer's growth and success as we continue to deliver innovative products that demonstrate both companies' commitment to outstanding achievement and excellence," continued Villien.

Acer has been an IT Products Official Supplier to Scuderia Ferrari since 2003. The F-20 Monitor will be available for a limited time only.

Cost: $1499
