  Pioneer Computers Release Portable Notebook

By Mike Wheeler | Friday | 04/07/2008

Australian local notebook manufacturer Pioneer Computers has released its first notebook model powered by an Intel Atom 1.6GHz Processor Diamondville.

The portable DreamBook Light M91 weighs 1.2kg and features an 8.9-inch touch screen TFT swivel display with convertible design. The swivel display can rotate at 180 degrees and comes with LED backlight.

Unlike other existing ultra portable notebooks currently in the market, which sometimes cut costs by minimising their storage capacity, the DreamBook Light M91 uses 2.5-inch SATA hard disk with the maximum capability of 500GB.
DreamBook Light M91 features a 1.3M-pixel web camera and built-in express card slots, with an option for 3.5G HSDPA expansion.
The M91 supports both Microsoft and Linux operating systems. DreamBook Light M91 is available from Pioneer Computers Australia on a build-to-order basis.

RRP

$899
