  HP Rolls Out Mini Notebook

Hewlett-Packard has released the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC which has an 8.9 inch screen and weighs in at 1.19kg.

The HP Mini-Note comes with a number of features including:

•        ;  A fully-functional PC that measures 27mm (at front) x 255 mm x 165 mm

•         Scratch-resistant 8.9-inch WXGA (1280x768 pixels) display with a regular-sized keyboard (QWERTY) and touchpad with scroll zone

•         ; Runs on a VIA C7-M ULV Processor (up to 1.6 GHz & 800MHz FSB, 128  KB L2 cache)

•       &nb sp; Pre-installed with Windows Vista Business
 
•          Simple design in anodised lightweight aluminium

•          Secure and safe with no visible screws, making the case tamper-proof

•      &nb sp;  Ability to view video, capture still-images, web-conference or enjoy video-enhanced instant messages with no additional hardware to buy

•         Two battery options—3-cell for lightest-weight configurations or 6-cell for extended battery life

•         ; Wireless technologies such as optional integrated Wi-Fi Certified WLAN2 and Bluetooth1, allowing users to access the Internet as well as communicate via email, IM, chat, VOIP and blogging. The wireless technologies also enable connections at hotspots as well as Bluetooth integration with external devices including printers, mice and headsets

•       & nbsp; Spill resistant keyboard which channels fluid away from vital components

•        ;  HP 3D DriveGuard which protects the notebook's hard drive against impact, bumps, or drops; a 3D digital accelerometer motion sensor detects and notifies the system software of any sudden movement and sends a command to temporarily park the hard drive.

The HP 2133 Mini-Note PC will be available in May at a starting RRP of $899 (inc. GST).
