Clinton And Obama Used By Spammers

The company has found that there is a growing surge in spam which makes references to the U.S. presidential election candidates. E-mail subject lines like "Obama/Clinton said that…" would contain get-rich-quick spam, meds spam, and even ‘portable dewrinkle machine' spam messages.

Spammers are also using famous celebrity names (like Heather Mills, Michael Jackson, and even Indiana Jones) to circulate malicious links to ‘videos' that are often bogus and contain Trojan downloader. These Trojans hide deep in a system's registry and will send spam to other users without the owner knowing.
