According to reports from the Neowin.net website, Microsoft will release its long-awaited Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) to users via a Windows Update on April 29.

However, it is claimed that Microsoft won't turn on the automatic download and installation of SP3 until June 10.
The time delay is designed to give system administrators ample opportunity to prepare for the upgrade or perhaps to allow them to come up with a valid set of excuses if things go wrong.
