  Neat Belkin Cable Idea

By David Richards | Thursday | 15/06/2006

Neat Cabling ideas can save time and money and Belkin has come up with a good one. When it will be available in Australia is unknown.

Belkin has come up with a solution to the problem of only one HDMI input on new TVs: The PureAV HDMI Interface 3-to-1 Video Switch. As the name implies, the device is essentially a hub that allows you to plug several digital video sources—like a cable set-top box, DVD player, and game console—into your TV at once.

In the box, you'll find an IR remote control that lets you select between the input devices through an on-screen menu, and a 6-foot HDMI Interface Cable. It supports 480i, 480p, 720i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p resolutions.

At the moment, the Switch will only be available in North America this summer for $199.99, but launches are planned in other markets later in the year.
