Samsung global is set to use the Australian market as a test market for new products, claims Kurt Jovias the departing marketing director of Samsung Australia.

Jovias, who is set to take up a role with Samsung USA, said " Samsung global is currently putting into place a program to use Australia for the testing of new products. You are a nation of early adopters and Samsung see it as an excellent market to test new products".

Jovias, who took on the marketing role at Samsung Australia 18 months ago will leave the Company on Friday for the USA. He will take on the role of director responsible for appliances. Currently the US market is witnessing a slump in appliance sales due to the economic downturn.
