HP Offers Cool Media Center Deal

By Rob Gillam | Thursday | 20/04/2006

Hewlett Packard is bundling free limited subscriptions to IceTV’s free-to-air electronic programme guide (EPG) with HP’s new Media Center PCs.

The length of the IceTV trial depends on the model purchased, with the range-topping m7399a providing 12 months of IceTV, worth $156.

An EPG is required to easily watch and record digital television – allowing ‘point and click' recording selection from an on-screen guide.

IceTV is fast becoming an integral part of the media centers that are transforming how people watch television. "IceTV changes the way you watch TV. Instead of having to watch shows when they are scheduled, you simply choose the shows you want to watch in advance and watch them at a time that suits you," says IceTV CEO, Duncan Ross.

IceTV's EPG is constantly updated to deliver interactive programming schedules for all major Australian free-to-air networks.

HP Australia Product Manager, Manpal Jagpal, says "HP will continue to partner with IceTV to provide exciting new digital entertainment solutions for our customers."
