  Touch-Sensitive Cordless Phone

By Caroline Warnes | Sunday | 18/03/2007

Oricom is preparing to launch what it calls the ‘world’s first cordless phone with a touch-sensitive keypad’.

The Touch phone combines a touch-sensitive keypad with a cool blue backlight when activated as well as advanced technology for high performance.

It features dynamic channel allocation for security, clarity and range and won't interfere with wireless notebooks, Oricom says.

Other features of the Touch include a smarty keylock, hands-free speakerphone, 60 name and number phone book on each handset, 20 last number redial, ringtones and caller ID.

It's also multi-handset capable and can support up to four cordless handsets for three-way conference calls and call transferring.

The Touch series will be available later this month with pricing starting from $179.
