By David Richards | Sunday | 09/11/2008

Telstra today announced four new prepaid mobile phone offers including the release of Telstra's latest Next G prepaid handset, the blue tick approved candy-bar style T6 for only $129 including some credit.

Benefits like free voice minutes, text, data and long credit expiry coincides with the release of Telstra's latest Next G prepaid handset, the blue tick approved candy-bar style T6.

Glenice MacLellan, Executive Director, Telstra Consumer, said the offers are designed for customers who want simplicity and certainty, making them ideal for people finishing exams and making plans for Christmas and summer.

"With a $40 recharge, on top of the $40 credit you can also get 150 minutes of national voice calls plus 150 standard SMS to anyone for free, anytime on any network in Australia for 30 days," says MacLellan. "Other offers include 1c text to Telstra mobiles for 30 days for heavy SMS users, and a longer credit expiry offer for the customers who need the reliability of the Next G network, but are not regular users.

"Additionally, Telstra prepaid customers get to use our Next G network, Australia's largest and fastest national mobile network."

In conjunction with the new offers, Telstra has removed MessageBank diversion charges and increased the data inclusion in its Browse Plus packs.
