  Nokia Extends Mobile Phone Warranty

Nokia will now be offering consumers the chance to purchase an extended warranty on their handsets for an additional 12 months, giving them up to 24 months of warranty repair and service.

According to the company, the Nokia Care Protect can be purchased for $13 for devices in the Nokia 1000-2000 range, $34 for Nokia devices in the 3000-7000 range, and $72 for Nokia Eseries and Nokia Nseries.

Head of Customer Care for Nokia Australia, Peter Thomas said, "We are offering extended peace-of-mind to Nokia Australia customers with our new service product, Nokia Care Protect. With Nokia Care Protect, consumers can extend their original Manufacturers Limited Warranty on their Nokia device for an additional 12 months including warranty repair services and support services such as help to set-up features and functionality."

Nokia currently has 12 Nokia Care Centres located around the country and provides customer care innovations, including being the only manufacturer to offer instant SMS or e-mail repair status updates, and providing consumers the ability to track their Nokia device through the repair process online (www.nokia.com.a u/repairstatus).
