PHONES / VOIP

  VoIP Goes Wireless

By Caroline Warnes | Thursday | 16/11/2006

The VoIP Wi-Fi phone from MyNetFone allows you to enjoy the savings of IP phone calls, as well as the convenience of a mobile wireless handset.

The phone, which is compatible with the IEEE 802.11b standard, allows you to make calls over the Internet while in range of your wireless network, whether you are inside or outside.

MyNetFone hopes the mobile factor will prove attractive to customers as we move into the warmer months, given that you can take the phone out with you while you swim or BBQ.

The MyNetFone VoIP service offers calls from 15 cents per minutes to an Australian mobile, from 2 cents per minute for international calls and from 10 cents per call (untimed) to anywhere in Australia.

The handset retails for $295. More information on MyNetFone is available at www.mynetfone.com.au
