LG's Category Marketing Manager for Audio and IT, Patricia Cheung said, "The Micro HiFi is LG's latest audio solution, powerful enough to be a main home audio system but also styled to suit urban living spaces. Most impressive is that it complements the contemporary consumers' busy lifestyle in which convenience is highly valued."

Besides being able to control and amplify their iPod, users can also play their DVDs, CDs, MP3, WMA music, radio, and even JPG files on the system. LG also says that audio CDs can also be transferred to MP3 or USB with a touch of a button, allowing music to be enjoyed anywhere at anytime.

Other features include touch sensor navigation, mood settings to create the desired ambience, and a VSMTM Pro technology that claims to provide a ‘virtual multi-channel surround sound experience like no other.'
