  Wireless Headphones Don't Drop Out

AKG's new pair of wireless headphones are claimed to give optimum sound even when users move around the house and have walls and ceilings between them and the base station.

The K910 headphones is an auto tuning, rechargeable, wireless unit designed for a wide range of listening applications from both digital and analogue sources including CD, SACD, DVD-audio, FM Tuner and TV.

Its wireless operation allows the user to move around with hands-free operation. and they operate on a high carrier frequency of 916MHz together with PLL (Phased Locked Loop) technology means optimum transmission even through walls and ceilings.

The ‘base' station also doubles as a docking and charging station and offers 15 hours of playback between charges. Other major design features include around-ear breathable cloth pads, as well as a semi-open design with self-adjusting headband that contours to your head offering the ultimate in comfort. Replaceable ear pads are also available.

Utilising high flux density NdFe magnets and other technologies results in performance specs that include a bandwidth from 20Hz-20kHz with the ability to reproduce sound pressure levels up to 103dB. The K910 comes complete with a convertible 1/8-inch to ¼-inch jack plug.
