Sony has launched its first complete range of entertainment products designed for the marine market. The range consists of a splash-proof unit, four sets of 6-inch speakers, a 10-inch subwoofer, a four-channel amplifier, and a remote control.

Sony Australia's Product Manager for Car and Boat Entertainment, Nick Wilson said, "Sony's entry into the marine market comes on the back of continued growth of boat sales in Australia. As a major play in the in-car entertainment sector for many years, we are now applying our experience and expertise to the marine market. For the first time, we are introducing a complete solution that is flexible enough for boats of all shapes and sizes."

According to Nick, it is quite important to choose marine audio wisely as water, salt, UV rays, plus shock and vibration of the waves may cause damage to the products over time. And the only way for one to get the best audio performance on board is to use dedicated marine products that are designed to handle the harsh conditions at sea.
