American manufacturer AAD spent hundreds of hours of research, as well as the exploration of advanced materials and techniques tested, before they were finally happy with the result.

American Acoustic Development (AAD) Vi series comprises the Vi630 floor standing model, the Vi410 bookshelf speakers and the Vi420 centre channel.

The three-way Vi630 features two 6.5-inch composite cone woofers, a 6.5-inch fibre cone midrange and a 1-inch dome tweeter. Both the Vi410 and Vi420 utilise the same 1-inch tweeter, coupled with a 4-inch composite cone midrange.
In order to properly secure its powerful advanced driver and crossover technology, the Vi series speakers are enclosed into an extremely thick MDF front baffle.

Each Vi model's enclosure was rigidly and precisely braced and internally damped to eliminate resonance, while the unique footing system on the Vi630 was engineered to decouple the loudspeaker from the floor, greatly reducing floor induced energy and colorations.

Aesthetically, the appearance of the Vi series is given no less attention than the technology housed inside. Created with premium materials and finishes, the speakers are house in a high gloss rosewood exterior with a modern, industrial silhouette.
