Motorola has partnered with
JBL for the MotoROKR EQ7, which could probably explain why it looks similar to the On Tour XT we reviewed in July. This audio system provides A2DP Bluetooth streaming, hands-free speakerphone functions for your mobile phone, as well as direct audio playback via its 3.5mm jack.
The EQ7 sports a glossy black finish that surrounds the black speaker grills located on top of the unit.
The volume up and down, previous and next track, and play/pause buttons can be found up front, with the Bluetooth, microphone mute, and power indicator lights located above it. A call/answer button and built-in microphone are also on the device, transforming the unit into a speakerphone when a call comes through.
The power button, power port, 3.5mm audio-in jack, and bass port are all found at the back of the unit. At the bottom of the EQ7, users can find a battery compartment (four AA batteries) that lets a user to bring the unit anywhere. It is just too bad though that Motorola did not include any carrying pouch.
