A lot of users do not switch their products off at the wall and would rather put all their gadgets on standby mode (like LCD TV for example). But did you know that standby power now accounts for 10 percent of household energy consumption due to the rising usage of home entertainment and computer systems?
The Earth Smart surge protector has six sockets: a master outlet that determines the on and off power levels of the power board and five ‘Standby Eliminator' outlets that is used to plug ‘slave' components.
Users can find a Peripheral ON indicator that indicates whether power is flowing to the Master and Peripherals, a Power OK indicator, a ‘Protected' indicator, and a mains power switch on top of the unit. The left side of the unit hosts the coaxial (antennae) protection ports and the knobbing switch that adjusts standby wattage, while the right side hosts the circuit breaker switch that protects against overloads.
