The LG R200 sports a piano black exterior and has a 2.5-inch QVGA display used for its SideShow function. Be warned though, this kind of surface is a magnet for fingerprints, so users who wouldn't like to see a ‘dirty' notebook must bring the cleaning cloth that LG provided at all times.
This 12.1-inch notebook has a lot of connectivity options. There are three USB 2.0 ports, a 5-in-1 multimedia card reader, a PC Express Card slot, a Firewire port (IEEE 1394), an S-video and D-Sub output, a gigabit Ethernet and 56kbps modem port, a Line-in, Mic-in, and S/PDIF jack, and a cable PR port. The R200 also has an Intel 802.11a/b/g module and Bluetooth v2.0 that allow users to connect to the Internet wirelessly and transfer files from the computer to mobile phones, printers, or other Bluetooth-enabled device.
Performance:
The unit is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2 Ghz) processor and uses an ATI Radeon HD 2300 graphics card, making it suitable for gaming so long as the RAM is upgraded (only comes with 1GB of RAM). The 12.1-inch WXGA panel has a screen resolution of 1280 by 800 but is not as bright as we hoped it could be. We had a hard time viewing our documents and movie clips as the screen was quite reflective at times, especially when used in a well-lit room.
