The xForce 1 is easy to assemble. All a user need to do is to connect the two satellites and the wired remote control to the subwoofer, connect your source to the 3.5mm jack, and turn the unit on. Video game consoles can also be connected to the device, although you need to purchase a Y-adapter separately. Screws are also included in the package, allowing users to wall-mount the speakers.

While you can control the volume and connect an earphone or MP3 (via 3.5mm jack) player from the wired remote, the power switch, system volume, subwoofer level, and treble level knobs are located on the back of the subwoofer. It could have been better if Divoom put the controls on the wired remote for easy fine tuning instead of us bending down just to adjusting the bass or treble.

In order to get the best sound quality from the speaker system, Divoom has recommended users to "position the two front satellite speakers on either side of your monitor and place the subwoofer on the floor beneath your desk."
