"Cheap But Effective Medion Graphics Tablet"

Aldi is about to offer a USB graphics pad from Medion that is easy to install, great to use, and has a very attractive price tag. This new device will hit stores on July 24, 2008 with an RRP of just $69.

The tablet sports a flat design and has a large working area of 254 x 159 mm. The entry surface is surrounded by 29 function fields which can be customised accordingly using the included software. A blue LED display is located at the upper right hand side of the unit, with the USB cable running for the same area. A stylus, a pair of tweezers (for replacing the stylus), two stylus refills, and a driver CD is also included in the box. Windows XP and Vista users must install the Macro Key Manager in order to fully utilise the function fields. The software is pre-loaded with 15 shortcuts (e.g. cut, paste, launch IE, new, save), but users can opt to replace the hotkeys with their own predetermined set. The included pen runs on a single AAA battery, which may be the most annoying thing for users who are used to input devices that are rechargeable once docked. Despite this minor setback, we found the pen to be both responsive and sensitive, with the tablet being able to quickly pick up the signal from the pen. |

I think that you should have more information on writing or drawing with the pen. demonstration on how the product can be used. the documentation is flimsy and needs more details. |

Pros: cheap, sturdy, and a huge surface
Cons: over sensitive??? (is it possible?)
this is a great tablet. other comparably sized tablets cost on average $200-300. its great for photoshop and works well, I've found, for many gaming interfaces. they dont mention it either but the pen in pressure sensitive. which is very handy in photoshop so that you don't keep having to change the cursor size to work on small details. |

Excellent
Pros: Drawing
Cons: Easy to use
I have used this product for several years and had no trouble with it at all. As a professional artist I use this tablet a lot with Corel Draw and Corel Paint but have also used it with other programs and photo retouch. Cheap, simple and flexible. I have a small wacom but the larger screen at 9inches X 12 inches is a better size and unbeatable for price. I would like to buy another. |

Your price versus Aldi
Pros: Its not bad
Cons: Your price
I'm just letting you know that I saw the same Medion tablet in Aldi for around $40 bucks. How can your price reason with that?
Ive used far more expensive tablets from Wacom but for those looking to try it for the first time, I would highly recommend getting the cheaper medion tablet . |

Excelent buy
Pros: Extreemly responsive, good work area, streamlined, excelent character recognition, simple
Cons: pen is somewhat fragile
I was given one of these tablets purchased at a US Aldi's for Christmas last year. I was extremely satisfied with it. It's an excellent value. The only thing I'm worried about is that I'm suddenly having pen jitter issues after the thing has been dropped several times. Also, the instruction manual that comes with it is pretty much useless, other than showing you how to unscrew the top to take it apart for the batteries. |

its better than i was expecting
Pros: works with many of my MRPG
Cons: HAND CRAMPS
was really surprised how well it worked straight up...and then i installed the drivers and even tried it in SIMCITY AND SACRED 2 and wow....im loving this user interface |
