"Changhong 46-inch LED TV Worth The Money"

By Mendelson Tiu | Published:11/05/2010

Changhong may not be a well-known brand, but its new LED4607B 100Hz LED TV will definitely turn heads with its slim profile, good picture quality, and affordable price.

The Changhong LED4607 sports a glossy black finish and has a crystal edge design that looks similar to a Samsung product. This LED TV is fairly thin, with the panel measuring 37.5mm. The swivel stand is installed to the TV out of the box. However, it can be removed in case the TV will be mounted to the wall.

The unit has three HDMI ports, a USB port, a memory card reader, D-sub and PC-Audio ports, and four specialised ports used to connect Composite (in and out), Component, and Digital Audio Out. Users don't need to worry though as Changhong included the jacks in the package. Located on the lower right part of the bezel are touch sensitive buttons for the volume, channel, menu, source, and power.

In terms of specifications, the LED4607B features a 1920x1080 resolution, a contrast ratio of 100,000:1, and a brightness level of 450 cd/m2. It even promises to play selected photos, music, and video files via USB through its MHP function.

An installation guide will run as soon as the TV is turned on for the first time. The guide will set the preferred language and automatically scans for available channels (including HD). The panel performed well in our tests and it was very easy for us to change the contrast, brightness, saturation, sharpness, as well as the colour temperature of the panel (Normal, Warm, Cool).
