  (Not So) Smart House

By Rob Gillam | Thursday | 09/02/2006

A UK Trekkie has gone broke after transforming his flat into an internal replica of the Voyager space ship from the Star Trek TV series.

The bridge alone, we could perhaps understand... But the whole thing is just taking customisation too far.

The Sun reports the home has moulded walls, touch-panel blue lighting, a life-size model of the show's transporter room and a command console.

The former DJ also reshaped his windows to look like portholes and set up vertical lights so he can pretend to be beamed up, just like the show's similarly colourful characters.

He has now filed for bankruptcy with debts circa $400K. Could be a bargain start to a most unique home theatre for some lucky english enthusiast .
