Monster claims that its cable will support today's resolutions of 480i, 480p, 576p, 720p and 1080i and has been specially designed for video transmission with ‘minimal distortion of the picture and minimal signal loss.'

Convoy International Marketing Director, Geoff Matthews said, "Monster has developed this new Monster Scart to Component cable exclusively for the Australian TV customers and we are very impressed with the picture quality. We believe that with Monster's focus on performance, quality and value will carry this SCART to Component Cable into our big seller list very quickly."

The 1080i Scart to Component Video Cable is constructed from a fine stranded centre conductor that provides high conductivity, low signal loss and degradation, low electric resistance and good signal transmission. This cable also utilises Monster's high quality Video 2 grade video cable technology and all connections are made with 24k gold connectors to maximise signal transfer plus resist corrosion and to ensure a tight fit, 8 cut turbine RCA plugs are fitted, the company says.

The Scart to Component cable will also provide analogue audio outputs (L+R) and a composite video (traditional yellow plug) for backwards compatibility.

Scart to Component Video Cable Specs:
• Scart male to Component male
• 24k Gold plated connectors
• Fine stranded centre conductor
• Low–loss dielectric for better picture and sound

Pricing and Availability

The Monster Scart to Component Video Cable will be available in December from all Monster Specialist Stores and will have an RRP of $179.
