Confirmed: Samsung Blu-Ray / Foxtel HD Free Giveaway

By Branko Miletic | Tuesday | 01/07/2008

As reported last week by Smarthouse, Samsung is giving customers that purchase one of their selected HD LCD TVs the choice of either Foxtel HD with the iQ2 set top box or a Samsung Blu-ray player

During July, customers who purchase selected Samsung Series 5 and 6 LCD Televisions can choose a bonus Foxtel HD+ offer (including full installation of the Foxtel iQ2 set-top-unit and three months subscription to the FOXTEL HD+ service) or a top of the range Samsung BD1500 Blu-ray player.

This strategic alliance between Foxtel and Samsung is eliciting so much confidence from the combined companies that they are now extending the bonus offer across August as well.

"Never before has so much HD content been available so we jumped at the opportunity to bring this partnership to life. We want to help consumers unlock the real potential of their HD TVs. Being able to record and playback your upcoming TV memories in HD is a very attractive proposition – especially with key sporting events airing in the coming months," said Kurt Jovais, Director of Marketing – Samsung Electronics.

"Samsung also wanted to provide consumers with a choice. How often do you watch TV? Do you want the ultimate viewing experience anytime you watch TV using FOXTEL HD+ or do you prefer to sit around the big screen enjoying movie nights on the Blu-ray player? Customers know what they want and this promotion is about listening to those demands," continued Jovais.

This offer will be promoted in-store and through the major retail channels.
