Jamie Cox, Audion Sales and Marketing Director, said, "Being appointed the exclusive distributor for Akai enables Audion to develop a strong presence in the home entertainment and consumer electronics market, with a well known international brand that has a rich history of innovation in both audio and video technology."

The agreement will see Audion offer an extensive range of home entertainment products, including flat panel LCD televisions and portable midi solutions, with plans to expand the range into portable audio solutions, personal video recording devices and other CE products over the coming year.

The Akai product range will be shipping from July and will be available from leading retailers from August.
