VIVO – Italian for ‘alive and vivid' will launch a range of hi-tech digital consumer lifestyle products imported from China.  The range includes LCD and Plasma televisions, LCD monitors, DVD Players, mini laptops, GPS navigation systems, and set top boxes.

MD of Natcomp, Fabio Grassia says, "LCD is most definitely a high growth category, and we are investing in it to carry the VIVO brand into mainstream consumer electronics territory within a short period of time.

"With LCD Televisions accounting for around 70 per cent of Australian Flat Panel Television sales, we expect our debut range to build a strong presence for the VIVO brand which will carry across into VIVO's other brand categories which include Plasma TVs, portable DVD players HD DVD players and LCD monitors," said Grassia.

He notes that although margins are eroding, he is not trying to reinvent the wheel. "There is a void out there for another brand. Our panels are all LG and Smasung panels and our point of differentiation is our design, our quality and our stringent testing", says Grassia.

"The potential for the LCD market is limitless with consumers viewing it as the natural replacement to the conventional CRT set. VIVO LCD flat screen TVs will appeal to many consumers looking for a good quality television at a reasonable and affordable price", concludes Grassia.
