  Ultralift Side Sliding TV Unit

By Manisha Kanetkar | Tuesday | 26/09/2006

We all know plasmas and LCDs can rise up out of the ground or down from the ceiling thanks to some innovative risers on the market at the moment. But this little “Slide Out Unit” from Ultralift allows your flatscreen to slide out sideways – giving you many more installation options.

The Slide Out Unit was originally developed for the boating industry. Ultralift's Tim Murray said "[The Slide Out Unit] was on display at the CEDIA expo this year and generated a lot of excitement due to its compact, smooth and original design."

Murray also said that the side sliding concept was not entirely a new one as previously "We have designed and built a 60 inch Slide Out Unit that was installed in a luxury apartment in Sydney. The unit was installed in a custom cabinet at the end of the bed and when retracted allowed the occupants to see the amazing water views across Sydney Harbour.

"It was installed 12 months ago and the customers have been very happy with the result."
