By Branko Miletic | Monday | 26/05/2008

According to a statement from Pioneer, following strong unit sales of the HD KURO plasma screens over the past few months, Pioneer Electronics says it has completely sold out of its PDP-508XDA 50 inch HD plasma screens in Australia, with only limited unit stock of the 42 inch HD model available.

Therefore Pioneer says it will now direct its all of its energy on promoting the Japanese-made LX range of Full-HD KURO plasma TVs, along with the companies range of audio solutions.

And according to Mark Anning - National Marketing Manager for the home entertainment group at Pioneer Electronics, quality has not been sacrificed for this price drop. "Every piece of technology and engineering that goes into Pioneer products is created with the intention of providing a high definition entertainment experience in its purest form.

We've continued to refine each generation of plasma and have reached the pinnacle with the combination of the KURO plasma panels combined with a Blu-ray Disc player and A/V receivers."
The new pricing on Pioneer LX plasma TVs include the PDP-LX508A which is now $,5999 from $7,999 and the PDP-LX608A is now $9,999 down from $11,999.
