TVS & LARGE DISPLAY / PLASMA

Sanyo Launches 2 New HD Plasma TVs

By Branko Miletic | Thursday | 10/07/2008

Sanyo has launched two new plasma televisions with built in HD digital tuners. The stylish new plasma televisions are designed for those who want to be able to view the free-to-air HD channels with a high quality picture.
The 81cm (32 inch) has a screen resolution of 852 x 480 and a high contrast ratio of 1,200:1, which delivers high quality images with optimised clarity and depth of colour. The 106cm (42 inch) has a resolution of 1024 X 768 and contrast ratio of 30,000:1, providing even higher levels of clarity and picture optimisation.

Additionally, the progressive scan function helps to provide clear and crisp pictures on fast moving images, such as an action movie.

Three HDMI inputs allow for the reception of visual and audio digital signals, broadcasting perfect image and sound reproduction. The HDMI interface content is protected to ensure compatibility with future digital products.

Extra features in both the PDP32XS8DA and PDP42XR8DA include exceptional stereo sound, teletext and an automatic sleep timer to automatically turn off the TV. For safety, there is also a parental control function so parents can enable access to specific channels only and filter out unsuitable content.

The pricing details are --PDP32XS8DA - $999 and  PDP42XR8DA - $1,499
