Still A Future For Big Screen Rear Projection TV Claims TI
Despite several vendors bailing out of rear projection DLP TV, chip maker Texas Instruments believes that there is a future for the technology however it does admit that things don't look that bright for the rear projection High-Definition TV. Sales of flat-screen sets have far outpaced rear projection models in the last few years.


Hitachi Tries To Make It With LCD Projector
Hitachi, which is struggling in the plasma TV market, has revealed a 47-inch hybrid LCD projector display that can produce a dark room contrast ratio of 8,000,000:1. The hybrid monitor technology uses a projector as a back-light system on an LCD panel, the company said.
