The SmartHouse team was recently allowed a very rare peek into the Epson projector manufacturing plant over in China, and let's just the say, the company is very serious about its projectors. Having looked at both the (sub $3,500) TW1000 and TW2000 it's clear that Epson is adding a lot more value. Both models are excellent, but splurge for the newer model if you can afford to.

If you have a few more dollars up your sleeve, then this BenQ DLP projector might take your fancy. The successor to its W10000, the new flagship offers up plenty of proprietary tech to get the blacks and colours just right. Full HD 1080p at 24 frames per second is a given, as is decent connectivity options.
