Atdec offers a range of mounting solutions that will get your flat panel rotating or tilting around a wall or coming down from the ceiling. We especially like the Telehook cable manager which offers an inexpensive way of getting your other kit – such as your Foxtel box and DVD player up and mounted on the wall with the screen. And all the cables are out of sight and out of mind. Very neat stuff.

Kordz has been a SmartHouse favourite for a while – we find the brand's HDMIs to be a reliable, value for money option for connecting up your HD gear. A lot of our in-house testing uses Kordz HDMIs. Remember that you should always budget around 10 percent of the cost of your kit to buying decent cables - 1080p is only as good as the weakest link in the system!
