  TP-Link Wireless Networking In Oz

By Manisha Kanetkar | Monday | 08/05/2006

The new 54 M Wireless Networking range from TP-Link is now locally available. TP-Link’s Australian distributor, Anyware, said the range will meet consumer demand for inexpensive networking products.

The new product range complies with IEEE802.11g/b standards and adopts eXtended Range WLAN transmission technologies. According to Anyware, the latter results in "Transmission distances two or three times greater than normal 11b and 11g products, and transmission ranges extended four to nine times."

The range includes a wireless router ($75) with a built-in four-port switch and fixed antenna, a wireless CardBus adapter ($34), a wireless PCI adapter ($32) with fixed antenna and the TP-Link 54M wireless USB adapter ($30).

Anyware also said that TP-Link is the number one market share holder and biggest manufacturer of home or small-medium business networking products in China.
