This unit is engineered to maximise speed, range and performance of a Wi-Fi network when running multiple devices including high definition (HD) media players, game consoles and computers.

User will have on-hand protection to browse the Internet, send emails and share files while simultaneously streaming high definition (HD) movies, music and online games to ensure all applications run smoothly over the wireless network.
The D-Link DIR-855 is a draft 802.11n compliant device that delivers faster speeds and farther range than 802.11g home networks, while maintaining complete backward compatibility with 802.11g devices.

The D-Link Xtreme N Duo Media Router ships with a 4-port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet switch with one upstream Gigabit Internet port.

The unit also offers support for advanced wireless security, including WEP, WPA and WPA2 standards to ensure the wireless network is protected. To prevent inevitable attacks from the Internet, the unit uses dual active firewalls (SPI, NAT) to help secure the network and personal user information.
