Italian guru Smeg has introduced a high powered rangehood that does it all: stir fry, sear, cook on a griddle or teppanyaki plate.

Smeg Power Rangehood Hits Kitchen

The SHC965X rangehood is a high powered, concealed undermount, removing smoke, fumes and grease-laden air from the kitchen area.

It quietly zaps up to 1600 cubic metres of air an hour at a minimal noise level - between 55 and 75dBA. It is designed to be installed within a wall mounted cabinet so it'll be concealed. Measuring 965mm wide, it can either be ducted or recirculated.

The stainless steel SHC965X features two 250W centrifugal motors with three speeds, three metal baffle filters (dishwasher friendly) and optional charcoal filters.

Available from appliance specialists, electrical retailers and some department stores, the Smeg SHC965X retails for $2,390.
