By David Richards | Friday | 06/01/2012

Samsung have given the first hint of a new product range that they will launch at the CES Show next week with the unveiling of a unique sound bar and tube-based iPod speakers as well as new technology such as disc to digital which appears to copy disc content to a system or cloud based location

The new disc to digital feature allows users to turn copies of their personal DVD collection into digital content.

To do this users have to  register their ownership of movies, when this has been done they will be able to access and view this content on multiple Samsung or upgrade their collection by purchasing HD quality versions of these movies."

In a press release sent to SmartHouse the Korean Company has also revealed new Blu ray home theatre systems for 3D Blu ray that also have hybrid vacuum tube amplifiers, built-in Wi-Fi, and Samsung Apps capability.

Samsung claims that the new hybrid vacuum tube amplifiers deliver crystal clear sound quality from a digital amplifier with the warmer tone qualities of vacuum tubes. In addition, the vacuum tube offers an extra octave of sound without distortion.

The higher end HT-E6730W is a 5.1 home theater system features two tall-boy front speaker, while the HT-E5500W has smaller, bookshelf front speakers. The  HT-E5500W has two HDMI inputs and an iPod dock.

The Samsung 7.1 Channel Blu-ray 3D Home Theater System is the first home theater system that features Samsung's proprietary vacuum tube amplifier technology, it follows the release of a new LG #D audio system earlier in the day.

Samsung's new Surround Sound Bar with 3D Depth Sound has been described as a a transformable sound bar speaker system that creates virtual surround sound with leading-edge audio technologies.

"Consumers want to recreate the quality, immersive movie theater experience at home so that they may enjoy this at any time with family and friends," said Sangchul Lee, senior vice president, Samsung Electronics. "Samsung is already acknowledged as a leading manufacturer of home theater systems that offer pristine audio and fully immersive HD video. We've raised the bar even higher this year with improved immersive audio sounds and unmatched picture quality so that they now have even more choices to get the best entertainment experience across multiple devices."
