Hot Christmas Appliances?

Air conditioners are set to be hot on Australian's Christmas lists as are coffee machines, juicers and mixers, according to Peter Harris, COO of Appliances Online.

"We are expecting small appliances, such as coffee machines, juicers and bench mixers, to be top sellers this Christmas in addition to barbeques," Harris told CN.

"Air conditioners will also be a popular choice considering this summer is expected to be Australia's hottest on record".

TVs and other audio-visual devices will also be hot on consumers Christmas wish lists, says Harris.

AO gift guide released this week, includes Panasonic Micro HiFi System, Kitchenaid Artisan KSM150, and Breville Nespresso Pixie Coffee Machine and other cool, more affordable items like Breville Milkshake Maker and Tefal Fresh Express juicer. Appliances Online offer free, next day delivery to most metropolitan areas.

Graeme Cunningham, CEO of Betta says consumers are seeing red when it comes to appliances.

Personal blenders such as Blitz to go are also performing above expectations this Christmas, he said. "We are still seeing coffee growing in capsule and in the sub $300 area. In the area of colour red is still strong."
