The purchase of KHQ includes its three stores in Osborne Park, O'Connor and Joondalup in Western Australia, which will be rebranded as Winnings showrooms.
Its an exciting move for the group, a spokesperson said. The value of the deal was not disclosed, but the move means Winnings now has 12 showrooms throughout NSW, Qld and WA.
Founded by Rick Hart and Nick Kirby, KHQ sells European brands including Gaggenau, Neff, Electrolux, V-ZUG and Sirius.
Kitchen Headquarters' elite retail showroom specialises in premium home appliances for cooking, kitchen and laundry, and offers customers coffee while browsing and cooking classes.
Hart and Kirby will remain in their management positions as will all existing staff.
David Crane, CEO of Winning Appliances, said the investment was the perfect opportunity for Winning Appliances to expand into the WA market, and highlighted the synergies between the two businesses.
"Similarly to Winning Appliances, KHQ is a premium kitchen and laundry appliance retailer that provides exceptional customer service and a unique showroom experience. The company's offering and culture is a great fit for our business as both brands have a distinct focus on customer satisfaction and maintain long-standing relationships with suppliers."
John Winning, CEO of the Winning Group, said "as a Group we are continuing to experience strong demand and this investment will leverage our current distribution network in Western Australia, whilst also enabling our century-old bricks-and-mortar business Winning Appliances to enter the Western Australia market.
The Winning Group also includes Appliances Online, Big Brown Box, and Handy Crew.
