|The sponsorship will commence in Sydney this Sunday, August 21, with "Color Runners" (who wear white at the start line) to embark on a 5 km untimed run, doused with coloured powder at each kilometre.|
The Tropicolor World Tour 2016 marks the fifth anniversary of the event, which is about having fun and promoting healthiness.
The tour will feature a "Foam Zone" sponsored by LG, which "will pump out a sea of bubbles to soap-up runners as they pass through the area".
At the finish line, LG will also erect an "LG Dunk Tank", taking the form of a giant LG washing machine, with race participants to "be able to submerge family and friends in water for the chance to win a host of fantastic prizes".
"There is a clear synergy between The Colour Run and our large-capacity washing machines," LG Australia marketing manager for home appliances Brad Reed commented.
"The estimated 16,000 people taking part in the Sydney race will produce a colossal amount of dirty laundry and the upcoming events in Australia will provide a fantastic opportunity to integrate our product and brand."
