Warner Bros. injected its cinematic appeal into the original F.E.A.R. titles that featured claustrophobic corridor shocks, dimly lit passages and tight gameplay that threw the package together.
They've taken a slightly different approach to this most recent addition to the series though, hiring Day 1 studios over the creators of the original games, Monolith.
The result has been a shift of form, with a somewhat altered art direction and a new take on the gameplay, including a new take on co-operative play.
