WiFi, NFC + 1000W: Sony Flashy 3D Home Cinema

By Oonagh Reidy | Monday | 26/08/2013

Blu Ray, NFC, Football Mode, Magnetic Fluid Speakers

Its the premium 3D Blu-ray Home Cinema System that lights up your living room. And do a hell of a lot more.

The Sony BDVN9100W has WiFi, NFC and 1000W speakers.
Key features

. Power Output - Total (RMS) 1000W

. 2x HDMI IN / 1x HDMI OUT

. Built-in Wi-Fi

. 3D Playback

. One-touch NFC Audio Streaming

. Video, Audio and Photo DLNA streaming

. Sony Entertainment Network Streaming

. BDVN9100W/B (black) - SRP $899

. BDVN9100W/W (white with blue illuminating lights) - SRP $999

The unit's N-series speakers have 'revolutionary' Magnetic Fluid Speaker technology that uses an advanced ferrofluid material developed by NASA, and come with a glass fibre woofer, reduces the weight of the voice coil, diaphragm and edge.

Sony's Digital Music Enhancer restore high frequencies lost in heavily-compressed music files.

Other cool features on the flashy unit include: Near Field Communication (NFC) to stream music wirelessly, by touching their (NFC ready) Android device against the unit.

Sony's Football Mode uses acoustic data captured at an international stadium to making you feel you're there in the stands. Also available for other sports like rugby or tennis

Sony's 3D Home cinema system can be controlled via Sony Xperia Tablet Z or smartphone, browse programme listings, explore online services.

The 3D Blu-ray Home Cinema System has a premium design inspired by the cut-glass edges. The 'white' model flash via  blue illuminating lights, echoing the "Sense of Quartz" design on Sony's 4K Ultra HD TVs.
