An advance version of the new Chromebook has already leaked ahead of it's xpected unveiling at the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show.
PC Magazine on Friday posted a piece dated for January 6, 2014, detailing the look, feel, and functionality of the Toshiba Chromebook. The page has since been taken down, but a Google cache version of it still exists.
According to the profile, the Toshiba Chromebook features a plastic chassis, measuring 0.8-inches thick and weighing about three pounds. It features a 13.3-inch display outputting at 1,366x768, but without touch functionality.
Inside, it packs an Intel Celeron 2995U processor, part of Intel's Haswell line, which has bumped up performance and better energy efficiency than previous Intel processors. It also has 16GB of internal storage, but comes with 100GB of free Google Drive storage. It will have two USB 3.0 ports, an SD card reader, an a full-sized HDMI out port.
