Content has been developed to help support early learning for children from three + but is the ideal tablet for all the family, with standard mode for adult usage. Children influence tablet adoption in Australian homes, Roy Morgan research shows.

There's also password protected lock screen; Kids Mode, where parents can have control over usage, and Time Management to set specific time periods for use by children; Application Manager, lets parents can see what their kids are doing on the Tab.

Released just in time for Christmas, Tab 3 Kids will be sold at the Melbourne and Sydney Samsung Stores mid-November, and other retailers in the coming weeks.

"GALAXY Tab 3 Kids is an exciting addition to the Samsung GALAXY brand of mobile devices as it's the first of its kind that we have offered in Australia," said Arno Lenior - Marketing Director, Samsung Australia,

"We feel it is important to offer devices and content that can offer experiences for different age groups".
