  Belkin’s Latest iPod Gear

By Lilia Guan | Tuesday | 19/07/2005

Global company Belkin has released a range of products to enhance the iPod for listening pleasure.

Belkin's new TuneCommand lets users roam and play the songs from an iPod virtually anywhere. It uses wireless radio frequency technology, and works from up to 150 feet away, regardless of barriers such as walls, ceilings, or windows that limit traditional remotes. It allows for control of an iPod to remain with the user, even if the iPod is stashed in a glove compartment, backpack, or the home entertainment centre. TuneCommand fits the 3G, 4G, photo, and mini iPod.

Belkin's other new release, TuneTalk, allows users to record audio to an iPod. By plugging the TuneTalk into an iPod, users can record memos, lectures, interviews, or conversations. The TuneTalk fits the 3G, 4G, and photo iPod. It will begin shipping in North America in late July.

The company has also announced Flip" for Mac mini, a solution designed to share one monitor, keyboard, and mouse between the Mac mini and a second computer, saving money and desktop space. Designed to organize and save desk space, Flip stacks neatly under the Mac mini and features built-in cables to reduce desktop clutter.  Flip is ideal for using the Mac mini as a
second computer, without the expense or desktop real estate requirements of a second monitor. Flip will be available in North America in early fall 2005.

Belkin's new USB Anywhere, can transfer songs, photos, and files from one mass-storage device (media reader, digital camera, hard drive) to another without a computer. The compact USB Anywhere eliminates the need for a computer for photo storage. It will begin shipping in North America in October 14, 2005.
