  Noise Cancelling Headphones From Audio-Technica

By Mendelson Tiu | Wednesday | 07/05/2008

After making its debut in the noise cancelling scene last year, Audio-Technica is once again creating waves as it launches an in-ear headphone which claims to offer outstanding sound quality and 85 percent noise cancellation.

According to Audio-Technica, the ATH-ANC3 headphones employs patented technology that detects environmental noise via miniature microphones incorporated in each ear bud. The immediate proximity between microphone and in-ear speaker driver provides the key to producing a close to identical out-of-phase signal that cancels an extremely high percentage of external noise across a very wide frequency range.

Audio-Technica also ensures a customised fit with three sizes of ear tips (small, medium and large) and a monitor switch on the control unit so that important outside announcements and conversations can be heard.
