By Mike Wheeler | Tuesday | 01/07/2008

Samsung’s S2 Pebble is a portable, screenless MP3 player that is aimed at the fashion conscious consumer. It has multiple EQ settings, LED light effects and play modes, as well as Samsung’s DNSe (Digital Natural Sound Engine) technology.

The unit's shiny, smooth design provides a cutting edge and customised aesthetic for the modern consumer, claims Samsung. It also features a pendant-style earphone lanyard, which enables users to wear their music on their sleeve.

Samsung Electronics Australia, MP3 Product Manager, Lisa Findlay, said: "The new Samsung S2 Pebble …is a technologically enhanced MP3 player that also makes a strong fashion statement."

As a music player, the S2 Pebble has the ability to play back MP3, OGG and WMA track formats, and is also has USB connectivity and allowing for ‘drag and drop' of music files.

The unit comes in three colours - black, red and purple and will have 2GB of internal Flash memory.
