  Creative’s New Vision

By Caroline Warnes | Wednesday | 18/10/2006

Creative has launched its latest portable video player, the ZEN Vision W.

The Vision W is an all-in-one video, photo and MP3 player and has been designed specifically for travel.

Creative claims the device is perfect for use with a digital camera on-the-go, since it features a built-in Compact Flash slot so you can import photos directly from a digital camera without the use of a PC.

It features a high-resolution, 4.3-inch, 16:9 format colour widescreen display and the 60GB model can store up to 240 hours of video, tens of thousands of photos and up to 15,000 songs, Creative says.

It supports a range of video formats, including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4-SP, MJPEG and XviD, as well as digitised home movies transferred from a PC.

There is also a composite AV-out connection to allow full-colour output on any TV, so you can share slideshows set to music.

The ZEN Vision W will be in-stores in November.

30GB RRP: $479.95
60GB RRP: $599.95
